The Gaslamp
The Gaslamp is a recently renovated Victorian-style, boutique bed and breakfast located in the heart of Provincetown, Cape Cod. Built in the late 1800's, the house has seven guest rooms, a common area parlor, and a large deck with a beautiful garden and hot tub.
Located in the center of town, just past Town Hall, The Gaslamp is conveniently just steps away from all of the local galleries, restaurants, shops, bars, and nightclubs.
Inspiration for The Gaslamp interior furnishings and "vibe" come from our years of collecting unique and vintage items from our travels.
Phase 1 Renovation
After purchasing The Gaslamp in 2016, we completed some preliminary cosmetic renovations that included removing the vinyl siding, repairing the original clapboards and painting the full exterior. On the inside, guest rooms were given an update with fresh paint and the addition of our collected items.
In the fall of 2024, we began the first phase of a major renovation project that included a gutting of the entire second floor guest rooms and bathrooms and the rebuilding of the rear tower.
Completed in the spring of 2025, Phase 1 features four brand new guest rooms with en suite private bathrooms with glass and marble showers, hardwood floors, mini split air conditioning units, Smart TVs, and gas fireplaces. Room 6 features a two-person shower and a vintage clawfoot bathtub.

Jeff, Jim & Nathaniel
The Gaslamp is owned and operated by Jeff Slater-Coté and Jim Coté (and supervised by our Frenchie, Nathaniel!). In 2016, we returned to the East Coast after a three and a half-year stay in San Francisco to open The Gaslamp.
We are committed to being actively engaged in our local community, and do what we can to support the arts and various Provincetown charities and nonprofits.

Jim has a background in sales and field marketing and Jeff has extensive experience in public education as both a teacher and school administrator. We have been married for eleven years.
We are thrilled to be sharing this chapter of our lives with the guests of The Gaslamp.
